Not all Americans do sandals with Sox. I have seen a number of other cultures do this as well.
Heading on my third trip to Italy soon. I did see some of them not appropriately dressed. It’s just a respect thing and even in AMERICA Socks & Sandals NOOOO never do this. I appreciate my heritage and where my parents came from in Italy.
