  1. I would prefer be American and have to go to the hospital in Europe than be American and have to go to the hospital in America. Travel insurance is still crucial though.

  2. Yeah, this is about what my lady and I spent. About 3300$ (each) for 30-ish days. Not bad. This was with lots of travel as well. We were however, very frugal with booking hostels etc.
