  1. UPDATE: 7-day JR pass in 2025 now costs about $320 USD (the estimation changes with the exchange rate). Mt. Fuji also now has a 4000 yen hiking fee.

CORRECTION: The minimum I spent on housing should say $30 USD per night.

  2. I’m 17 and I want to go to Japan multiple times. My first trip will be solo and I’m hoping to save up like 10k for a month stay. Currently, I want to go to tokyo, kyoto, osaka, akihabara, shibuya, fukuoka, and hokkaido. any tips for lodging, shinkansen pass purchasing, and the amount of time and money I would need to spend would be greatly appreciated. I would plan on eating out a lot and doing a lot of shopping for anime merch and whatever else

  3. No offense, but that’s a very expensive budget. πŸ‘ŽπŸΌπŸ™„πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€£ Somebody must make a lot of money or doesn’t spend it wisely….. Just saying. Hope you had fun though! I know I did when I was there! πŸ™πŸΌ Man, I can’t wait to go back…… 😒

  4. πŸ˜‚ my budged trip (13 nights) will look like this:4 nights osaka+4 nights kyoto+ 5 nights tokyo= 1600€ (flight+hotels+guided mt fuji tour+3 day tokyo rail pass+sim card)
    14 days=1400€ (100€ per day) =
    overall 3k€
