All of Germany is turning out to not be very German these days. Quite sad.
Putting your bottles next to the dustbin but not inside can end up in a 50€ fine for littering. At least in my hometown. But as Berlin has become a trashbin as a whole it might be handled differently there.
Went to a restaurant in Berlin and ordered in German. Waitress told me that she didn’t speak German! Only Dutch and English. So that is actually correct for some of the restaurant workers.
